3. INTRODUCTION OF THE 2012 ARA BOARD - Nov. 02, 2011
The president will formally introduce the 2012 Board Members to the membership during the
November 02, 2011 General Membership Meeting.
4. GAVEL EXCHANGE BETWEEN PRESIDENTS - Dec. 03, 2011
The “gavel” will be exchanged during the ARA’s annual Christmas Party on December 03, 2011.
A Note From The President:
The “Board” represents the governing body of the ARA, and I cannot emphasize more how
important it is that the club elects a responsible, strong, and open-minded Board... “responsible”
so that the club never deviates from the its mission to serve Alfa Romeo enthusiasts the world
over, “strong” so that it pushes through necessary changes in order to strengthen the club for the
long-term, and “open-minded” so that it is willing to experiment with new perspectives, ideas, and
resources. For one such Board, we need your nominations and votes!
Introduction
The process begins on August 01, and ends in December when the "gavel" is exchanged
between Presidents; you will find the details below in a description of the process, segmented
into four periods: call for nominees; vote-casting; vote-tallying; announcement of results.
The process is mostly the same as last year's, except the Board is implementing electronic
balloting this year, to make voting more convenient for members.
