Welcome to the ARA!

Rumor has it that the latest TZ-reincarnation to the right-most of this AR promotional postcard is based on the upcoming SRT Viper chassis/powertrain.

If you hold an appreciation, or even better yet, a passion for Alfa Romeos large and small, old and new, this is the place and group of people for you. The Alfa Romeo Association (ARA) was founded in 1960 by a group of Alfa Romeo enthusiasts who loved their cars and drove them daily; this still applies to many of our more than 430 current members and their associates. The ARA is based in Northern California, the United States, but we are proud to attract members from all over the globe who share the same passion for Alfa Romeos.

We have been serving the needs of Northern California Alfisti for many decades through camaraderie, driving tours, technical sessions, and track/race events. In 2011, we visited five private car collections in the area, hosted four speakers at our monthly general meetings, organized eight driving tours, and enjoyed each other through eleven monthly Club Socials, four Concourses d'Elegance, two tech/mechanical sessions, and finally, three club dinners. This schedule exemplifies the active nature of this club, and very much underlines the passion that this group of people holds for Alfa Romeos. Last but not least, we publish a monthly magazine, Overheard Cams, which details our past and future events, contains tech articles, and puts forth our miscellaneous ramblings; it's lots of fun to read! To help with more urgent needs to communicate among members, we also run an online discussion group forum, the "ARA Forums", for multilateral discussions, sell/buy cars/parts, or just rant.

If you own, are curious about, or simply enjoy Alfa Romeos, there is no better group to join than the ARA. Our annual membership cost is $35, which includes eligibility for all club events, as well as delivery of the monthly Overheard Cams. Associate members are welcomed, at an additional $5 per year.

Enjoy our website! For current updates on club happenings and news, click on the What Goes On link in the navigation bar to the left. The Calendar of Events link will also give you a heads-up on upcoming events in 2012. PDF versions of past Overheard Cams may be viewed and downloaded by clicking the appropriate link, and, finally, you're welcomed to browse the Classifieds section for cars/parts for sale and check out where we've driven to in the past years via Touring Archives. We would also recommend registering your car on the Alfa Romeo Registry, if you haven't already done so. Long story short, we look forward to your spending some time here!
