2009 “One Lap of Marin” Tour The Date: Saturday, April 18, 2009. The Place: Dick Gale's Houseboat Parking Lot, Sausilito CA. The Time: Start assembling at 9:00 AM. The Event: The Annual ARA "One Lap of Marin" Tour! Bring your Alfa, your Best Friend, and your Camera for one of the best drives on the entire calendar and possibly THE single best drive in California! Dont miss this one, even if you have to miss everything else! We meet at Dick's Houseboat SOUTH Parking lot. We push-off promptly at 10:00AM (Maps will be provided). We meet again in Tomales for a break at about 11:00 AM. Lunch plans are to be announced in the April Issue. After lunch, we finish the route and meet back at Dick's Houseboat for the traditional "wrap party".Gas is cheap now, you have NO excuse! Alfa Tour to Fantasy Junction Every Petrol-head in Northern California knows of Fantasy Junction in Emeryville. If there is such a thing as one-stop shopping for vintage exotica, Fantasy is it. As I write this in mid-March, Fantasy Junction has four vintage Alfas including a half-million dollar TZ and a lightweight Giulietta Sprint with all-aluminum coachwork as well as SEVENTEN Ferraris! And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There are many other cars such as Aston Martins, Elva Couriers, various vintage MGs, Austin Healys, and Lotuses (Loti?)
