FIAT AMERICA’S DRIVER SCHOOL

Sunday, October 1, 2017

Marina Airport

We are, once again, getting the opportunity to share the joy of motoring skill refinement, pre-emptive collision avoidance, mechanical optimization and great friends at the FIAT America Driver’s School. We enjoyed having ARA club participation in previous Driver Schools and look forward to seeing ARA members again this year (last year they were a blast!) and strongly recommend the school to younger permit holders and newly-licensed drivers. There is no better place or way to let new drivers learn what their cars can and cannot do. PLUS, IT IS A LOT OF FUN!!!

At $125 per entry, it is a bargain, compared to an indiscretion in your car. We give students the opportunity to experience the limits of their cars in a safe and instructive environment. We also discuss and illustrate strategies and attitudes that avoid dangerous mistakes related to driving, road hazards, predictable emergencies, and driving excellence.

Whereas it is not a racing school, the deep reservoir of instructors we utilize have several decades of competition experience and more than a dozen racing championships between them. If you want to know the racer’s secrets, you merely need to ask.

We allow up to 2 entries per car (with equal time given to each entry as if they brought their own car). Full convertibles (FIAT 124 Spider, Alfa Spider, MGB, early Miatas) without aftermarket roll bars, require helmets worn by all occupants in the car. Modern convertibles (later Miatas, BMW, Mercedes, Solstice, etc.) with factory rollover protection, do not require helmets. Be sure to include information on car type/model (sorry, no SUV model) and if there will be two entries per car. Please arrive to sign in at 7:30 AM.

Payments (checks payable to FIAT America) to be sent via Snail Mail to:

Gary Luke, 13555 Spring Valley Rd., Morgan Hill, CA 95037

Or via Paypal to treasurer@fiatamerica.com Use the “sending money to friends and family” option.
